02/representations
1. what women are represented and how?
Women are under represented because they reflect a patriarchal social/ cultural context as they are often seen and defined in terms of their relationships with men. shown here with the wife of the dead us president which makes a very controversial second marriage. Everyone's views switch from this beautiful women being the wife of JPK and now the views have changed to her having to defend herself for having a second marriage with an ugly, fat Greek man which raises high concerns for the general public. Women are especially under representative on frontpages as only one front page has a reference to women which was a photo of a women illustrating an article about knitted fashion. this lead to the unions postpone strike which illustrates the high level of strike coverage in the 1960s reflecting all political contexts of greater union power in the 1960s. Barbara Castle is the only female politician who is mentioned in any front page which is to show how highly under represented in this decade.

In this lesson we discussed lighting and have depicts the picture. from what I have learnt is that my picture will be a lot lighter with the use of lighting. the light also connotes happiness and nice atmosphere. It shows emotion with lighting compared to if it was darker.
